Local Roseville Artist Gonzo Shows Support And Not Lion About It
Local Roseville Artist Gonzo aka Edward Stross recently started a snow sculpture in support of our Detroit football team. A Snow Detroit Lion head at Gonzo!! Art Studio is located at the corner of Gratiot and Utica Road. Edward shoveled up all his snow in a mound and created a masterpiece.

Who Is Gonzo The Local Artist?

Edward Stross story starts from Ohio , but like anyone that lives in Ohio they’re dreams were to live someday in Michigan. Don’t quote me on the history I just made that up. But seriously his family moved to Michigan when he was just a boy and ever since then a fan of our Detroit sports teams, Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings — and Lions.
The Red Wings playoffs and Stanley Cup victories and Pistons and Tiger Playoff runs you could count on Local Roseville Artist Gonzo making banners for our Detroit Sports Teams.
The year 1995 when I worked another station up the dial and Ted Nugent was a guest on my show. Gonzo made Ted Nugent “Weekend Warrior,” airbrush T-shirt for his birthday. A wonderful friendship was born.
The Gonzo Art Studio
The Gonzo art studio in located on the corner of Gratiot and Utica road across from the old Roseville Theater. The building was originally constructed as the Junction Hotel, which included an upstairs dance hall. In the 1920s.
The building was also used as a bank at one time. In fact the huge bank safe is still on site. a reconstruction project moved the hotel back and added a series of retail shops along Gratiot.
