Detroit Ranks Tenth For Cities With The Rudest Kids In The U.S.
A survey found that when it comes to the rude kids, Detroit ranks tenth in the United States. Rankings were done by residents of the cities surveyed.
Solitaired.com, surveyed people in 28 cities throughout the U.S. and asked what factors they thought that rude kids had.
Participants ranked how rude kids in three age ranges were; younger kids 5 to 8 years old, and finally, older kids 9 to 12 years old and teens (13 -17). Based on the results; being attached to phones was the rudest behavior, followed by cursing and lastly, playing music or videos too loud.
Additionally, not saying hello, not making eye contact and disobeying rules were in the top ten of rude behaviors.

People who responded, ranked rudeness on a 1 – 10 scale, with 10 being the rudest. Of those cities 5.9 was average, and based on the rankings, the top 12 cities were above the average.
49% of people believed kids are rudest to their parents, then followed by being rude to peers (28%) finally, strangers came in last (23%).

Kids aged 14 – 17 were considered the rudest. Finally, when it comes to rude kids, Detroit ranked number ten overall, but here is how each age range ranked overall:
- 5 – 8 (9th)
- 9 – 12 (2nd)
- 13 – 17 (4th)
