Crazy McDonald’s Remix Menu In Canada
There’s a crazy McDonald’s remix menu in Canada? Oh can you say road trip? (come on Ryan, this is an easy one…it’s just over the border)
What’s on the crazy Mcdonald’s remix menu in Canada?
Chicken Cheeseburger
Pretty self explanatory – and as someone who used to cook at McDonalds, we made these all time while on break.
- Crispy chicken patty
- Beef patty
- Topped with a slice of melty processed cheddar cheese, a pickle, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a toasted bun
Surf N Turf Burger
I can’t remember if there’s an American nickname for ordering this off the secret menu – but it actually looks pretty good.
- Two beef patties
- A crispy Filet-O-Fish patty
- Topped with two slices of melty processed cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a toasted bun
Sweet Chili Junior Chicken
Another pretty straight forward remix – the sauce is what makes it go (my kids love this idea btw)
- Crispy seasoned chicken
- Topped with shredded lettuce, Thai sweet chili sauce, and mayo-style sauce, all on a toasted bun
Apple Pie McFlurry
This one seems like a no brainer – and I’m sure you could try it here….just buy an apple pie with a McFlurry. Looks good though, doesn’t it?
- Vanilla soft-serve swirled together with caramel sauce
- Pieces of baked apple pie
Secret Menus at McDonalds – Been Around Forever
I was a McDonald’s cook in High School (back when we had cassettes and taped MTV off our VCR…google it kids). One of the perks was a free value meal for your break. Our game was to see what weird items we could make…or how much food we could cram into one Big Mac box. I remember making double big macs, cheeseburgers with big mac sauce, chicken big macs – anything different that fit into the box so the manager wouldn’t see it.
So way to go to our friends up north for the crazy McDonald’s remix menu in Canada….now get that down here to the states please (or up here if you live in Detroit and the McDonald’s is in Windsor).
Of course, we get Krispy Kreme donuts at our McDonald’s….so that’s something.

5 Of The Best Burgers In Metro Detroit
Sure, Detroit is famous for its Coney Dogs; however, that doesn’t mean there isn’t great options for burgers, as well. So, whether you’re a local or someone coming to Detroit for the NFL draft, you’re not going to have to go very far for a delicious burger.
Yes, you can find all the traditional burger chains around Detroit. It’s never hard to find a Quarter Pounder , Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, or Whopper. Additionally, we have a Shake Shack downtown in Campus Martius. If you’ve never had a burger from Shake Shack you are totally missing out. However, you can enjoy Shake Shack in just about every city in the country. For that reason, I’m not including it on the list of the best burgers in Metro Detroit. I wanted the burgers on the list to be exclusively found here in the 313.
Only picking 5 of the best burgers in Metro Detroit presented a challenge because there are so many good ones to choose from. So, to make it easier I focused on burgers close to Downtown. Yes, you can get great burgers up in Clarkston and Rochester–but we’ll save that for another time. Now, I want to focus on what you can find within a close drive to downtown because the NFL Draft is coming up and this year it’s being hosted in Detroit! Literally millions of people are expected to be in Downtown Detroit for the NFL Draft and they’re going to be hungry. I’d hate to send them all the way to Lake Orion to get a great burger. So, focusing around Detroit is what you’ll find on this list.
