Is It Okay To Leave A Game Early?!
Alright this week’s first Grounds For Divorce was a good one! We had a ton of phone calls and comments come in, basically all telling me I was wrong. Let’s get into it.
So I am going to the Tigers game this weekend and I had one question. Here it is.
“WERE GOING TO THE TIGERS GAME SATURDAY..ARE WE ALLOWED TO LEAVE EARLY EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN’T BUY THE TICKETS?”
Here is a little background on what is happening. My wife’s dad bought the tickets because one of his younger kids are playing the National Anthem with her school band. I say we can leave early because we are really just there to see her perform. I get that it is also an outing with her family but why do we have to stay the whole game?
I asked that question and the comments came flying in! Mostly all against me like most Grounds for Divorce’s
LISTENER COMMENTS:
Ryan can stay home and I’ll go in his place, summertime at A tigers game sounds awesome
you can leave whenever you’d like but you’ll have to deal with the fallout with the in-laws.
It depends on the score and you have to make it someone else’s idea
When I got home, I wanted until we were on a walk to ask my wife Heidi her thoughts on the Grounds for Divorce question. Here is here response, sorry she wouldn’t let me film her since we were on a walk and she “looked gross.”
FINAL THOUGHTS:
So here is my final thought on the whole situation. If we go to the game and hang out with them at the bar before isn’t that enough? I mean especially if the game gets out of hand, why do we have to stay if it’s a blowout? I think when it comes down to it, I am just not that big of a fan of going Downtown, especially during the summer and with construction as bad as it is.
I know I sound like a grumpy old man but hey! It’s who I am!
