VIDEO: Job Up in the Air
Have you ever wondered where flight attendants sleep during long flights? The answer is small cabins with bunk beds.
But what about on short flights? Where do they sleep then? The answer should be nowhere, but that was not the case for one flight attendant working on a flight from Nashville to Atlanta (which is only a little over an hour long plane ride, for the record).
Passengers aboard a Southwest Airlines plane earlier this week witnessed their flight attendant hiding in the overhead compartment.
Apparently she was talking with passenger from her leisurely position above them. According to passengers, she did make it down from the overhead compartment and got back to work, eventually.
Naturally, one passenger was able to capture the footage and posted it to Twitter:

Another snapped a quick pic for proof and of course, tweeted it:

It is not known what this woman’s fate will be when it comes to keeping her job, but officials with Southwest Airlines did release the following statement:
“Southwest Employees are known for demonstrating their sense of humor and unique personalities. In this instance, one of our Flight Attendants attempted to have a brief moment of fun with Customers during boarding. Of course, this is not our normal procedure, and Southwest Crews always maintain Safety as their top priority.”
