Illusion makes gaping HOLE appear in the middle of road - so what's going on?
AN OPTICAL illusion spooked drivers into thinking a gaping hole had appeared in the middle of a busy road. Video of the potential hazard shows motorists nervously trying to dodge the mirage by pumping the brakes and driving around it.
