Lions Love Makes Tim Allen Nervous
Tim Allen loves the Detroit Lions. How many episodes of “Home Improvement” had him wearing Lions gear? How many times have we seen him on the sidelines or in the stands at Ford Field? Like many of us – he’s a long suffering Lions fan…but how do you react when someone starts talking about the team being good?
Listen to the tone in his voice change when we joked with him about the team and going to the Super Bowl (yeah, I said it!)

Here’s a little bit of the conversation:
“We were looking at the date of the show. This gives you February 3rd, because the Super Bowl is on the 11th. So if the Lions make the Super Bowl, you got time to get to the Super Bowl in Vegas.
Tim: Oh, why do you do this?
Are we allowed to even talk about this? We talk about this all year. I mean, come on, we can talk about this now, right?
Tim: Here’s the deal. some of my bits are about there’s a couple. I’ve been is Briggs Stadium with my grandfather.
Every single thing, every record you don’t want the Lions had. And I’m a huge fan. It’s just eventually this year has been incredibly difficult. I watch it by myself. Sometimes I tape it and then watch it later.
In case they lose even in the recording, I can’t. I’m so used to a loser. I can’t imagine a winner. This is this has been this is the weirdest experience of my life. Every time people say, hey, they’re winning this. Oh, you just did it now. As soon as you say it, it’s going to be over. This has been very difficult for a guy that’s been, you know, like all of us.
Tim’s coming to town on February 3rd at the Fox Theatre – tickets and more info here. And you’d like to hear our entire conversation – click here
