This is one I never saw coming if I am going to be totally honest with you. Let's take a deeper look into how things changed for one of the best in the world.

I will always stand by this statement. Going to Liv has nothing to do with spending more time with the family or playing the best players in the world. Everyone has an amount in their head and apparently for Jon Rahm that number is 600 Million.

When Liv golf began, many players made the move, many players were 100 percent against going to the new league, one of those players was Jon Rahm. Lets first take a look at what Rahm said when he was first asked about joining Liv a few years ago.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not mad at Rahm for taking this massive deal and heading over to Liv. I think my issue is the fact that these guys are pulling at everyone's heart strings by saying it allows them to spend more time with their family. First off, a guy like Jon Rahm does not have to play the type of schedule that keeps you away from the family for a month.

He finished high enough in most tournaments to earn FedEx points to play in the playoffs.

With that said, can these guys just start admitting that they all have a number and if that number is met, they will leave the PGA tour.

Let's give Jon the floor, here was his whole interview with Fox News after the announcement was made.

WHO'S NEXT

Rahm will have his own team and be an owner of his team when the season starts. Another reason why that number is so high at 600 mill.

It is going to be very interesting to see who goes next. It seems like Rahm leaving is going to open up a door that the PGA will have trouble closing. Rumors are that Tony Finau could be next. For a guy like that it makes sense, he may never win a major, so why not make a ton of money.

Here is a more in depth write up on the whole situation.

Also, don't forget the check back every week to The Ball Washer Pod. I will dive into this topic much more in the next episode.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
