Kids Cussing In The Bathroom
Is it okay for your kids to cuss in the bathroom? Wait…what? This is a trend with some parents…let’s see if you agree with it…but first:
Warning! So much NSFW audio
Here’s the situation: A daycare in Pennsylvania has been having issues with a cute little girl with a VERY dirty mouth. So the mom said it was okay for the daycare to put her in the bathroom and her get it out of her system. Here’s the NSFW video:
Someone who runs the place set up a camera with the mom’s permission, and they posted the footage on TikTok. I spent eight years in the Navy and most of us didn’t cuss that much.
Wait…there’s more?
When I was getting this video (which has definitely gone viral) – we started to notice a LOT of parents doing the same thing. Your kids can only cuss in the bathroom (let them “get it all out”)…For example:
@bebsinistaj He was ready to let it all out. #bathroom #fyp #cussing #parentsoftiktok #kidssaythedarnestthings #trend #trending

And then there’s Noah (more NSFW language)
@nicholealee Noah always asks to say cuss words. Just about everyday actually. Today was his lucky day. Lol he whispered them. #fyp

Now that you’ve seen the videos – how do you feel about it? I saw one story on Motherly where they talked about Mom doing this with her kid.
She’s aware that pre-school age kids are sponges and hear everything we say – and sometimes parrot it back to us (not knowing the meaning). She had her child agree to only do this in the bathroom and agree not to use those words in public. Good parenting advice? Comments? Split down the middle:
“That’s really mind-boggling to allow your child to curse…they know these words from hearing them from their parents. It’s not cute at all!!!”
Or this parents thoughts about it: “a very thoughtful way to allow expression in a safe place instead of lashing out and creating an actually bad situation.”
And what about this: “My parents always said they aren’t bad words, just not socially polite and need to be used in proper context/not in professional places.”
I got a funny feeling this is going to become an episode of Ryan’s “Grounds for Divorce” soon
