The Chip Caddie Short Game Sim: New Product Review
Introducing the Chip Caddie. For those of you who have been listening to “The Ball Washer Podcast” thank you, because of you I can now bring you some amazing products that I am sure you will love. The first product review on “The Ball Washer Podcast” is the Chip Caddie short game simulator. This is a product I have wanted to get my hands on for a very long time, so I am happy to bring you my thoughts on the product, what I love and what could be improved. Let’s get into my product review.
Anyone who plays golf on a regular basis has had dreams of installing a full golf simulator in their house, for most there are two main factors that keeps them from doing so. First, the price. Not many people have an extra 20-30 thousand dollars to spend on a simulator. Second, the space. Again, not many people have the available space to put a simulator in their home. That is where the Chip Caddie short game golf simulator comes into play!
I mentioned I have wanted to give this simulator a try for a while, thankfully I was able to meet up with the creator at the Michigan Golf show earlier this month. We talked about the product for a while and then I was able to take one home to try out.
Now, let’s get to my review of the Chip Caddie short game simulator.
PRICE: 1,499.99
Right now, You can get the Chip Caddie for 1,499.99. I mentioned it in the video but I think if the creators of the Chip Caddie can ultimately get the price down around 1,000 dollars, it will draw in more casual consumers. Right now, I think at almost 18 hundred dollars it has a limited market of serious golfers with money.
HOW DOES IT WORK:
Chip Caddie is a fully integrated system consisting of a high speed camera, mini pc, projector, hitting mat and impact screen + frame. Chip Caddie automatically registers a shot on contact and the camera provides data on speed and trajectory through the PC and onto the screen.
EVERY PURCHASE INCLUDES:
- High Speed Camera System
- PC
- Projector
- 3D printed Chip Caddie Tray
- Durable and Collapsible Frame
- Projector Impact Screen
- Putting / Chipping Mat
- Handheld Controller
- LED Lighting

FINAL THOUGHTS:
As a golfer I cannot recommend this product more. Like I said in the review video, there are a few things I would like to see improved or changed about the product. For example, the set up could be a little more clear in the directions but again, for a company that is brand new, they have done a great job to start.
Hopefully some of the improvements will make the product that much better! Overall I think anyone who is trying to take their short game to next level or have some fun with their friends, the Chip Caddie is the golf simulator for you!
Below is what the Chip Caddie looks like set up in my basement. As I said in the video, I have normal celling in the basement so it’s nice that the screen fits with some room to spare!
As always, don’t forget to catch up on everything happening in the world of “The Ball Washer Podcast”
