It's that time of the year again! Throughout the month of March, all of your favorites battle their way through a bracket to determine who is the best of the best. No I’m not talking about March Madness, I’m talking about MUTT Madness.

Here at WCSX, we have the honor of crowning Metro Detroit’s top pup. Vote for your favorite and submit your doggy here:

Only one mutt can be crowned the champion of the WCSX Mutt Madness, so make sure to support your favorite!

Puppy Pool Party

Now the question arises, ‘does my dog have to be a good boy in order to join the bracket?’ Of course all dogs are good dogs! But if your pup is anything like Buster, who is too busy having a doggie pool party to pose for a picture and refuses to sit like a good boy, then you can relate. Here is the viral video of Buster disobeying his mom. But in his defense, he just needed a pool day!

What Are the Rules?

Just in case your dog is a Buster, his mom made a list of rules to adhere to that are good for swimming with a doggie like him:

1. Increase Your Loved Ones Life Insurance

If your pup constantly wants to jump in the pool, taking down anything that gets in their way while simultaneously splashing you in the face, make sure you read the doggie clause in your life insurance!

2. Always be on the Lookout for Flying Labradors

You never know when it’s going to happen, but once you see a flying Labrador coming your way, just know it’s already too late.

3. Always Have a Lifeguard on Duty

Going back to expanding your life insurance, it can get pretty intense during pool play time. A lifeguard on duty is a great way to make sure you and your pup are having a safe swim!

4. Know You Could Be Sacrificed for the Greater Good

Your eyes may be burning after your pup splashes you so many times, and you may have scratch marks all over your body when they jump on you, but know that it’s for the greater good!

5. Learn to Swim Out of Range of the Hot Tub

If you have a hot tub next to your pool, or any other high jumping point for your dog to utilize, it may be a good idea to stay away from there! Once they get that height advantage, good luck.

Always swim at your own risk! Check out the rule video for swimming with a puppy like Buster:

Submit and Cast Your Vote!

Maybe when your pup wears themselves out after a long day of craziness, then you can take a picture and submit it for Mutt Madness. Only one pup can be crowned the champion of the WCSX Mutt Madness, will it be yours?
