“Bohemian Rhapsody” Sets A Streaming Record
“Bohemian Rhapsody” – the song, not the movie – just set a new digital streaming record.
Queen’s iconic 1975 tune is now the most-streamed classic rock song ever, with more than 1.6 billion streams globally to move it ahead of songs like “Sweet Child O’Mine” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. In fact, it’s now the most-streamed song from the entire 20th century.
Those numbers were no doubt helped by Bohemian Rhapsody (the movie), which is setting its own records as the highest-grossing musical biopic ever and just got nominated for two Golden Globes.
