This episode of Grounds For Divorce focused on a very popular Youtube Educational show for kids. I has a few concerns when it comes to allowing his son to watch Ms. Rachel.

So my wife brought Ms. Rachel to my attention yesterday while we were having a conversation about our son Finnian beginning the process of learning new things. After seeing Ms. Rachel I could see the benefits as she is very good at what she does, but it also caused me to ask some question and have some hesitation on letting Finn watch her.

Now for a little background on Ms. Rachel. She is a teacher who began doing lessons for babies and toddlers on Youtube. She got so popular, she stopped teaching and is now one of the most well known people on Youtube. She helps kids learn how to clap, wave, tie shoes, basically everything small children need to learn.

Now it's obviously working for parents because Ms. Rachel has over 2 million subscribers and makes a lot of money doing it.

I just had a few concerns while my wife was showing her to me.

Here was us talking about it this morning, you tell me, are my points valid or am I just being nuts about this one?

Now some of what I said was joking around but honestly is this good for my kid to watch? Trust me, I know that my kid shouldn't be watching tv at 10 months old. He doesn't, my wife was simply showing me Ms. Rachel for future use.

Here is one of Ms. Rachel's videos:

I know a lot of my friends use her to help with their kids, so I am thinking we will give a try and see how he does with it. Like I said, she has to many followers for this not to be working for kids.

LISTENER COMMENTS:

CHRIS: Can't be weirder than a purple dinosaur known as Barney.

313-This is nonsense - Finn should be playing in the mud with a Tonka truck

DIANA: My granddaughter loves her... she annoys me

Those were just a few of the comments but most people said she is great and has really helped out the kids in their life.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
