The first Grounds For Divorce this week (4/11) was all about my teething baby and what we can do to make the process easier and smoother for Finnian.

My little boy Finn is now 11 months old and getting teeth at a fast rate. Unfortunately with that comes some major pain and discomfort for the boy. This Grounds for Divorce was all about finding out different ways to help him during this stage in his life.

Here is the question for the day:

FINN IS TEETHING REALLY BAD. WHAT ARE SOME GOOD WAYS TO HELP HIM DURING THIS TIME?

As always the suggestions on what to give Finn came flying in with one good one after another. We will get to those comments but first, here is the video of our conversation:

Listener Comments:

810: Frozen washcloth or Frozen carrots

586: They have these net type things for teething... you can put fresh fruit in there and freeze it, and then give it to your child… Or Orajel

248: Soak a couple of washcloths in water and put them in the freezer let them freeze up then give them those

Kathe: Frozen carrot or frozen wash cloth, either help to rub the gums and let the teeth come through

Paul:Freeze Rings.Teething rings filled with water then put into the freezer. My son loved them and it eased the swelling.

Gail: We use the new teething rings that has gel in them and you just put them in frig .my grandson was born on May 19.or buy those teething nets where you can freeze fruit or food in them.they are great

Final Thoughts:

So it was nice to finally not get ripped and dragged through the mud on one of these! As always I appreciate the help and we will be trying a ton of these suggestions as they all sound great!

Grounds for Divorce
Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
