Having Mom Help Iron and Hem My Pants
Am I being a baby by taking my suit to my mom to have ironed and hemmed? Some say because I am 32 years old, I should be doing this stuff by myself. Let’s get into Grounds for Divorce for 8/8.
So, my first thought when bringing this topic up during the morning was, I am going to get ripped for this one. Honestly, it was a mixed bag of comments! Some think I am way to old to be making mom do this stuff for me, others think it’s nice that I still ask my mom for help.
Here was the question I asked on air this morning
GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE 8/8
DOES ANYONE STILL HAVE THEIR MOM DO THINGS FOR THEM? HEIDI IS EMBARRASSED THAT IM TAKING MY SUIT TO MY MOM TO IRON BEFORE THE AWARDS SHOW
Like I said, I was worried about this one because I knew people would light me up. I think my mom and I have a different relationship that most do, we are very close. So, asking her to help me out with stuff like this is not weird to me.
Here was the conversation online:
LISTNER COMMENTS:
Never. I am 54 and took laundry home a couple weeks ago. Granted, I live in an apartment and she is free. I was willing to do it, but she tossed a few things in and made it hers. LOL
My mom used to iron my husbands shirts when we went to a wedding! I was good with that, my ironing sucked
Different take on this..I lost my mom to alzheimers..I would give anything for her to still be here to do something for me.
Totally fine that your mom helps you and Heidi out on various tasks. Don’t take advantage of her and reciprocate with gifts and your time! Be with her and spend time with her!!!
Those are just a few of the comments, like on-air I did have some people calling me out and telling me to do all of this on my own. My thought is, if I can have her do it better for me, why not have her do it!
