Should I Get Naming Rights On Second Kid?!

The first Grounds for Divorce this week is all about naming the baby. Should I get naming rights to their second kid? That was the question I asked and it went better than I thought. Lets get into it.

So My wife and I reveled the gender of our second child last night on a Facebook Live, I will attach that video at the end of the post. Anyway, we are having a little baby girl! I have one very important question about naming the baby. Here is what I asked while on air.

No I will be honest with you, I wasn't sure how this conversation would go, thankfully it didn't go as bad as I thought. One lady did call me an idiot, but that is nothing new.

We always wrote lists and narrowed them down together

Our solution with our 2... I picked a list of 10 names& my husband picked from my lists. Win win.

Personally, I think you should both pick together. Heidi picked Finian and you did not object, so by default, you both sort of picked. A couple of suggestions. 1. you both make lists, show each other and cross off the ones you really object to. Then whittle it down from there. You probably won't even end up picking a name from either list. 2. Ryan said he wanted something unique and in keeping with an Irish theme, how about Siobhan (pronounce Shivon). Is pretty, and has unique spelling ( in my 65 years I have only come across 2 with this name and spelling, other than TV characters). 3. Stick to your guns and have a reasonable stance for the one you really want...just remember, you will never hear the end of it if it is a fail!

So, my thoughts is that I will try harder to look for names I like. I am not dumb, I know my wife will have final say in the name but maybe I can influence a bit. You'll have to stay tuned for the name because I know my wife will not let me tell that secret for a long time.
