Tailgating The Lions Game Without Tickets
For the first GFD this week, I wanted to know if tailgating before the Lions game, without going to the game makes sense? Let’s get into this weeks Grounds for Divorce.Let me open up by saying this. I am a big Lions fan, I am so happy for them and the city of Detroit that they are in the playoffs and making some waves, now with that said I think it is dumb to go downtown to tailgate without having tickets to the game. For some reason, my wife wants to go. Here is the question I asked on air.
GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE 1-16
“IS IT WORTH GOING DOWNTOWN SUNDAY TO TAILGATE IF YOU DON’T HAVE TICKETS?..MY WIFE WANTS TO..I WANT TO STAY HOME”
Here is my thought on it. It’s going to be in the 20s on Sunday afternoon, so I really don’t feel like standing outside all day, I also know that places will be packed so trying to get a spot is going to be hard. My wife is also 7 months pregnant. I don’t think being around a ton of drunk people will be something she is in to? Then again she is the one who wants to go.
Here was our conversation from on-air this morning:
LISTENER COMMENTS:
Team Ryan
Let her know that parking lot are very very expensive
I’m with Ryan. It’s too cold. And it’s not happy wife happy life. It’s happy spouse happy house
As long as every destination was preset and you didn’t have to wait in lines or you knew where you were going and what you were doing I guess it would be fine but other than that it’s just a cluster it’s annoying and why would you go anywhere just to stand in lines just to say I was there.
Those were just a few of the comments from listeners, but I truly thought I would get smacked for this one, but it seems like some people are on my side.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I think by the time Sunday rolls around she will want to just hangout at home and take it easy for the game. I can make some good food and we can watch the game in the comfort of our family room. We will see though, I also want to make her happy during the final months of her pregnancy.
