Rory McIlroy Sings Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing

Ever since Liv golf came into the picture, it was branded as a “fresh” take on golf and that the PGA Tour was the “Boring” tour. Safe to say that…

Ever since Liv golf came into the picture, it was branded as a "fresh" take on golf and that the PGA Tour was the "Boring" tour. Safe to say that couldn't be further from the truth after yesterday evening. Check out Rory Mcllroy sing Journey's Don't Stop believing, while he and Shane celebrated the win.

It took a sudden-death playoff at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on Sunday for Rory and Shane to get their first victory of the year. Personally this is one of my favorite events as it turns golf into a team game for a weekend. Rory and Shane teamed up as fellow Irishmen and took home 1.3 million dollars each. You could tell Rory and Shane were pretty fired up after the win, the beers started flowing and Rory grabbed the mic from the lead singer of the band playing the trophy ceremony.

RORY SINGS JOURNEY'S DON'T STOP BELIEVING:

Below is the video of Rory belting the lyrics to our Detroit Anthem, Journey's Don't Stop Believing. I love Shane Lowery, he is just standing up jamming along, but you can tell there is no way he is grabbing a mic.

A BIG WIN FOR RORY AND SHANE:

This was a big win for Rory and Shane. They both take home 1.3 million dollars plus 400 points in the FedEx Cup standings. Along with the win, they get exemption to the Players for the next two years as well. Also, for a weekend where LIV was supposed to take the spotlight, the PGA countered with a thrilling finish and two of the tour's top players coming out on top. The PGA needed a good weekend with the attention LIV was getting in Australia and they had it.

NEXT UP:

Next up for the PGA Tour is the Bryon Nelson which is played at a golf course I am very familiar with. The Byron Nelson is played at TPC Craig Ranch in n McKinney, Texas. When I was a professional golf caddie, this was where the biggest tournament I ever caddied in was held. It is an easy course for these pros, so were sure to see some low scores.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
