Pizza Hut Cheeseburgers?
Wait a minute, Pizza Hut is making cheeseburgers now? Over the years weâve seen fast food places stick their nose into another brandâs territory – like the McDonaldâs Pizza? Or remember KFCâs pizza chicken (chizza). But a Pizza Hut Cheeseburger…really?
So now we have Pizza Hut cheeseburgers
Okay, itâs technically called a âCheeseburger Meltâ and they’re described as:Â “A parmesan-crusted thin crust Melt folded and loaded with beef, applewood-smoked bacon, onions, mozzarella, and cheddar.”
Why Are They Doing This?
“As a brand known for exceptional pizzas, venturing into the burger business is an exciting first for us,” said Lindsay Morgan, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut “We thought we’d kick off our burger journey with something bold. That’s why we’re making waves in burger chain drive-thrus, serving up our delicious new Cheeseburger Melt for all you burger lovers out there.”
The Cheeseburger Melts come with their special, “world’s best burger dipping sauce” on the side, and they’re also available in a “My Hut Box” with fries. Those start at $6.99.
Will This Be The New Drunk Food?
Is there anything better than a burger on a night when you may have had a LITTLE too much to drink? What about mozzarella sticks? Probably NOT a leafy green salad, right?
Someone used Google trends data to find the top DRUNKEN MUNCHIES in every state . . . and for most of the country, BURGERS are #1. They’re the go-to buzzed food in 16 states, including a lot of Middle America.
Chicken wings are #1 in seven states, plus Washington, D.C. Grilled cheese is next, followed by nachos, pizza, kebabs, quesadillas, and burritos.
As for the more unique selections, breakfast food is #1 in Nevada . . . fish and chips is the favorite in Arizona . . . fried chicken is tops in Louisiana . . . Chinese food is #1 in New Jersey . . . pierogies are the go-to in Pennsylvania . . . and mozzarella sticks are #1 in Delaware. Amen to that.
As for the best drunken late-night restaurants, Taco Bell is #1, followed by McDonald’s . . . Jack in the Box . . . Waffle House . . . and Domino’s.
