SUPPORTING JACK HUFFMAN: JAX WALK

For months you have heard us talk about friend of the show Jack Huffman who was attempting to walk from Dana Strands, CA to Washington DC as a fundraiser to help out The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. Jax started his walk back on March 14th and he did it! He finished the walk on the 28th ending at The Capitol building in Washington D.C.

BUY A SHIRT: SUPPORT A VET

With Jax hitting his goal, we wanted to make a final push for donations! We thought bringing back the "State of Seger" Shirt would be a great way to connect Jack's hometown, with support for the walk. So for a limited time only, Stewart Printing in Wyandotte will be selling the shirt with the proceeds going to The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.

Below you can find the shirt from Stewart Printing:

JAX WALK: HE DID IT!

Back in February we had Jax in studio to talk about the walk he was getting ready to tackle, since then he has pushed through some very tough conditions, sleep on the side of highways and met a lot of great people on his way to the final goal. lets make a final push and show that the Motorcity was behind Jax on this amazing journey.

Here was our conversation with Jax:

Here is the original story we wrote about Jax

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
